May Photo Collage + Poem
I pick up my languid body, a watering can of memories sloshing around, go out to the yard, tipping until they sprinkle out, coating earth in shiny film. The garden shapes slowly, each day a ritual of pouring until stems raise flowers, time capsules opening, delicate vessels offering forgotten parts of the story — how a parched throat didn't know to ask for water, how a clenched hand didn't know to offer, cycle repeating until what grew became enough to open eyes, buds unfolding, jaw releasing, mouth savoring first taste of sun.
Thank you for reading. Every month I release a new Monthly Reflection with a photo collage of my original photography that reflects the mood of that month and a poem that goes with it. I love pairing these art forms and it has been a good challenge to come up with new collages on a monthly basis. I will be turning these into a calendar at the end of the year, so stay tuned!

Beautiful, my friend. I want to lean into this poem, let myself flow like water.
